Freeform facade design, step by step.

A curved tower with an arched crown: 4,292 glass panels, each one coded, measured and drawn. Watch it go from the facade designer’s 3D file to printed A1 drawings in Mullions.

What you need

One file from the facade designer.

Shapes like this are drawn in a 3D program. Ask the designer to export the panel surfaces, one face per glass panel, as an OBJ or DXF file, or a panel list with corner points from Excel.

  • Every face becomes a numbered glass panel
  • Identical panels share one glass code
  • Each panel measured edge by edge, with both diagonals
  • Twist checked: flat, cold-bent or hot-bent
  • Drawings on A4 to A0 with key plan and zone sheets
No file?

Most curved facades need none.

Rounded corners, waves, round towers, egg-shaped towers and facades that lean or bulge are built right in Mullions: choose a curtain wall and build the plan from pieces. Every panel is still coded and drawn.
